Aunty Sheila's After School Club

Aunty Sheila's is so named after the kindness and generosity of the late Sheila and Peter Burdon, who sadly passed away in 2021. Their dream was to help support local children in the community by giving them a safe haven in the form of a fortnightly after school club.

The club is run every fortnight by a team of volunteers who are DBS checked, first aid trained with many holding food hygiene certificates. The club is for children within the community aged 6-14 years old. In addition, the club has a number of young leaders that have volunteered their time to ensure their peers have a fun, accessible space to share activities, a meal and socialise. 

Entry fee is £1 per child or 50p for siblings.

Our next Aunty Sheila's club will be held on Tuesday 28th September 2021.

We encourage you to register your child before bringing them to the club, so we can ensure we can meet their dietary requirements at meal time and any other special requirements they may need.
